With more than 170 km of road and high technical standards, the project not only supports the development of the project, but also incorporates permanent road infrastructure that strengthens land connectivity and local development in the long term.

January 23, 2026. — The construction of the Northern Corridor, the future access road to the Project, from section A to D, involves a route with significant challenges and a demanding schedule. This work will complement the work corresponding to sections E and F, which were awarded in April 2025 to the joint venture Terusi Construcciones S.A. – Semisa Infraestructura S.A.

This is an important step for the Vicuña Project in strengthening its operational infrastructure and improving access to the Project:

Section A (Sections A1 and A2) covers 63.6 km from Angualasto to Junta La Palca, passing through Malimán and El Chinguillo. The work includes a 100-meter-long bridge over the Río Blanco in the Piedras Pintadas sector. This stage requires advanced logistics in the handling of explosives and detailed engineering work to open up the road.

Sections B, C, and D cover the stretch connecting Junta La Palca with La Majadita. This section represents the most extensive challenge, with approximately 107.4 km of construction including large-scale earthworks, engineering structures, drainage, and containment systems.

In total, the project covers more than 170 kilometers, forming a network that is essential for the long-term sustainability of the project.

After three months of analysis, Vicuña selected the companies that will move forward in the process, based on criteria of financial solvency, safety, and technical capacity. Contractors must submit specific plans for the integration of local labor and services, prioritizing the positive economic impact on communities near the project.

In addition, business rounds are planned in the communities, in line with previous experience in catering tenders, aimed at facilitating relationships between bidding companies and local suppliers. Furthermore, there will be networking opportunities for companies that are not participating as direct bidders, in order to promote partnerships that contribute to the development of productive capacities in the territory.

With this project, Vicuña not only secures the necessary logistics for its operations, but also establishes an infrastructure standard that transforms connectivity in the San Juan region.
