Sustainability Reports.
Below you will find previous sustainability reports and summaries from the Filo del Sol and Josemaría projects, where we transparently share our progress, challenges, and commitments to addressing key environmental, social, and governance matters. Vicuña will begin publishing a single annual sustainability report and will work toward improving its alignment with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.
As part of our commitment to transparency, we aim to support and promote key mechanisms such as the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), which helps improve governance of resource revenues, reduce opportunities for corruption, and enhance development outcomes in economies where mining plays a key role, such as Argentina and Chile.
Prior to the formation of the joint venture, Josemaría and Filo del Sol contributed to the EITI Argentina Report 2022–2023, published in February 2025. The report details the fiscal and other contributions that these projects, along with other mining companies operating in Argentina, made to the government during that period.
In addition, as Vicuña is headquartered in Canada, the Government of Canada requires the company to publish annual reports detailing payments made to all levels of government, both domestic and foreign, under the Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA). Here you will find links to our ESTMA reports for the past five years. (Josemaría’s ESTMA reports for 2022, 2023, and 2024 are included within Lundin Mining Corporation’s corporate-level ESTMA reports for those years.)
We are committed to establishing open communication based on trust and transparency. To support this, we have created our feedback procedure, an active listening channel through which we manage concerns raised by individuals or stakeholders related to Vicuña’s activities.
Following the commitment of our shareholder companies, we are moving forward with determination toward an integrated project inspired by international standards, best practices, and guidelines for modern and sustainable mining. As part of this effort, we are in the process of aligning our actions with the principles of the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), a globally recognized organization with extensive experience in advancing industry performance to achieve safe, fair, and sustainable mining through collaboration.
In addition, prior to the creation of Vicuña, our Josemaría project advanced in the process of joining various programs that establish international standards for quality and oversight, with the aim of ensuring responsible, transparent, and reliable mining from an early stage. All of this aligns with the ICMM principles, which will serve as the foundation for Vicuña’s sustainability approach.
